Jesse is our black lab/chow chow. Before coming to classes, he was very hard to handle, not to mention walk on a leash. Also, he was showing aggressive tendencies towards other dogs not in our family.
We learned tons from the Novice Class alone. We learned to sit, stay, heel, down, come, stand, etc. Overall it was a very good course. The first command and balance of praise/correction just makes sense. Jesse still has a ways to go (he's still a very hyperactive pup), but we are getting there. I can now easily walk with him heeling beside me, and control isn't really an issue anymore.
I also learned a lot of tips from the web site. It was what atracted me to this training program in the beginning.
I wouldn't consider having a dog without taking a class and this one was well worth it. We will be back to take the Intermediate course!
